You are bidding on...
a vintage flute or recorder made of brass. I think this instrument was handmade for someone whose name began with the letter "B." It is engraved above the differently sized holes on one side.
It is very primitive looking.
The bottom is hollow. When you blow into the mouthpiece it sounds like a whistle. It can make a nice sound effect. I was informed by someone that stated there may be lead in the mouthpiece. I do not know if this is true with this primitive instrument. It does have a different color. I just want to let you know what I recently found out. This musical instrument
is bent in places and there is a crack near the tip of the mouthpiece. Otherwise, I do not see or feel any flaws concerning this item. I found this fabulous item on a hunt for treasure somewhere in southwest Florida. This item is in originally found, used condition, from an estate. It measures 14 1/8" long.
