    Description

    Rare Antique early 1900’s J. Higham Ltd Coaching/Hunting Brass Horn In Wicker Case. Horn is marked with serial number 54224 and the early Makers address of 127 Strangeways Manchester.
    Horn measures 59 3/4” long with bell approx. 3 3/4” in diameter.
    There are a few dings and slight dents on the stem of the horn. I have taken photos of this. These seem minor with the age of the horn. Original Mouthpiece shows slight wear as well but in nice shape.
    Horn is from the estate of a world traveler and collector and has been in a private collection since being brought back from England in the 1920’s.
    Upon limited research, I have not seen a coaching/hunting horn of this length in addition to having its original wicker storage casing.
    Wicker case shows wear and has some damage in areas but is solid overall.
    A fine rare example of J. Higham craftsmanship.
