Matson Line Silver Plated Oval Serving Tray 12" x 8.5" w Logo

Description

This is a medium-sized oval serving tray from the Matson Line, which ceased cruise activities in the 1970's.  It features the Matson logo of "M" surrounded by 7 stars. It is hallmarked "International Silver /  Silver Soldered" on its underside.
This came from an estate I managed for a local travel agent who went on more than 70 cruises in her lifetime. She represented the Matson Line from the 1940's to its end.
The piece is in decent used condition.  It has plating loss around the logo, and the underside plating is rough and peeling.  Piece has scratches and evidence of heavy service use.  Good structural shape otherwise, since extremely heavy base metal.  Definitely in need of a polish.
