    Description

7x11.25" album with 47 large photos, each 6.25x4.5".  A cruise on the SS Carinthia to Rio.  The first photo is dated March 20, 1934, the deck of the ship in snow!  Followed by 46 pictures in much warmer climates.  Photos are glued to the scrapbook paper which has become a bit chippy.  Many pages have come loose from the binding due to the poor strength of the album paper.  However photos themselves are in excellent condition, though they've attained a slight curl to them you can see in my last photo. Many appear to be photos purchased on the ship and have captions that were written into the negatives.  Some have no captions and seem like photos pertaining to this one cruise.
