1867-1889 Fall River Line Steamship Providence brass room key room 349

Description

Brass skeleton key marked as shown. I have a number of similar Steamship keys I will be listing at auction.
Providence was launched in 1867 and saw her last voyages in commercial service in 1896. She was semi retired with the advent of Priscilla in 1889 and presumably they were not buying new keys in the last few years of only occasional service. I would assume this key is at newest 1889 when Priscilla was launched though likely it was part of the original 1866 outfitting.
Piece is a little nicked up but overall excellent condition.
